As the Business Banking Associate Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Business Banking Associates, including a senior-level trainer, who support participation, direct, Economic Development, and legislatively directed lending programs. This team plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality loan documentation, efficient workflow coordination, and responsive service to internal and external partners.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance support to help team members succeed and grow. You will set clear expectations, hold regular one-on-one conversations, and support individualized development to strengthen skills and confidence. You will foster a collaborative team culture built on accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.

You will also oversee staffing and workload coordination by assigning and balancing daily work across documentation preparation, workflow coordination, and partner support activities. You will monitor priorities, adjust workloads as needed, and ensure appropriate coverage during peak periods or staff absences. Working closely with the senior trainer, you will support onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing skill development to strengthen team capability and operational consistency.

This position plays an important role in reinforcing documentation standards and program requirements while identifying opportunities to improve procedures, job aids, and training resources. You will collaborate with internal partners to address recurring workflow challenges and ensure consistent service delivery. You will also serve as a key liaison between the team and business bankers, credit analysts, loan servicing staff, collateral valuation teams, and external bank partners, communicating updates clearly and sharing operational insights with leadership.

To be successful in this position, you will be a people-focused and analytical leader who can identify trends, process gaps, and documentation challenges while supporting team development and maintaining operational consistency. You will communicate proactively, escalate issues appropriately, and collaborate effectively across teams to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality loan workflows. Familiarity with loan origination systems, servicing platforms, and collateral management tools, along with knowledge of loan documentation requirements and regulatory parameters, will support your success in this role.

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in commercial, agricultural, or residential lending administration. Experience leading or developing employees through supervision, training, or project coordination, with demonstrated ability to coach staff and guide team performance, is required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
