Patrick Dix, Vice President Client & Association Engagement, SHAZAM
Presentation Topics: 1. Stop Selling, Start Connecting 2. Current Fraud Trends - The Perfect Storm
Patrick leads SHAZAM’s Speakers Bureau, providing valuable and timely education on issues facing banks and credit unions. SHAZAM’s Speaker’s Bureau delivers some of the highest-rated content and training at more than 100 meetings and conventions annually. He also supports SHAZAM’s advocacy efforts at the state and federal level to ensure community financial institutions have a strong voice in the payments industry. He joined SHAZAM as vice president of public relations and has served as vice president of strategic alliances prior to moving to his current role. Before joining SHAZAM, Patrick spent 25 years as a broadcast journalist including 16 years as the senior morning news anchor at the NBC affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa.

Scott Green, Product Innovation Manager, SHAZAM
Presentation Topic: Stablecoin
At SHAZAM, Scott manages product innovation, developing new product concepts and exploring emerging opportunities in financial services. His career at SHAZAM began in sales with a progression to marketing manager where he created SHAZAM’s first project management and product management functions. Under Scott’s leadership, the product team successfully launched many programs, including bill payment, chip card issuance and one of the first mobile applications for real-time P2P transfers. Scott has played an active role in the industry’s drive to faster payments, formerly serving as chair of the Faster Payment Council’s QR code work group. He values equal, non-discriminatory access to payments systems, and is passionate about finding solutions that allow the business to move forward in a way that benefits all stakeholders.

Kelly Hoeven, CCBIA CBVM, BradyMartz
Presentation Topic: How to Have Difficult Conversations
Kelly Hoeven is a financial institution consultant with Brady Martz & Associates and has over 15 years of experience in the financial institution and regulatory industry. Kelly’s background as a former FDIC bank regulator and experience from her role as Chief Compliance/Audit Officer at a community bank in North Dakota allowed her a unique perspective with the regulatory compliance challenges that banks face and fueled her passion for helping community banks navigate through an ever-changing industry. A strong believer in mentoring and empowering others in the workplace, Kelly helped create the Brady Martz Professional Development & Excellence Academy, which offers coaching and mentorship to financial institution employees. When not immersed in all things compliance and mentoring, Kelly enjoys teaching yoga classes, hiking with her husband, and scouting out new coffee shops to try.
