Our mission is to "enable the independent member banks to profitably and competitively provide quality financial services to the communities and citizens of North Dakota."

ICBND is driven by the needs of our members to add value by: being a proactive industry and advocate before state, federal, legislative and regulatory bodies; promoting the image and importance of community banks to local, state and national economies and to its citizens; providing a forum for networking and information dissemination; and by creating cooperative products, services, and education offerings to assist our members to compete and flourish in a constantly changing financial services marketplace.

Present programs of ICBND include educational offerings which attract some of the finest speakers in the financial services industry, as well as the annual convention of the association, that has received national recognition as one of the finest banking conventions in the country.

ICBND also offers a Credit Card & Merchant Service program through ICB Services Inc, that provides members access to credit cards, debit cards, and merchant programs.

ICBND also operates and manages the ICB Purchasing Exchange, which offers substantial discounts to member banks on virtually all kinds of office and bank supply items.

Taking an active and professional lobbying effort, not only in North Dakota, but also in Washington, D.C., is a very important part of ICBND's service to its members in order to aggressively protect and preserve the heritage of independent community banking.
